Top Ten Tigers: Number four

Fall camp is now just four days away. Leading up to the day of the first practice, PowerMizzou.com will count down the ten most important Tigers for the 2008 season. The list was made up with a look at past performance, expected impact during the 2008 season and depth at any given position. Today, we continue the countdown.

4. Stryker Sulak

Why he's on the list: The one thing that changes a game for a defense faster than anything else is a big time, consistent pass rush. Sulak has at times provided a big time pass rush, but it probably hasn't been as consistent as fans would hope. This year, he is a senior and a leader on the defense. He will be asked to turn up the heat on opposing offensive tackles. If Sulak can consistently get to the quarterback, an already strong back seven gets even better for Missouri. He should benefit by opposing teams putting two blockers on Ziggy Hood, but Sulak will face his share of double teams as well. He's got to take up two blockers and when he finds himself one on one, he's got to make teams pay. If Sulak can rack up double digit sacks, it should be a fantastic sign for the Tiger defense.
