Lone Star State breakdown: Greater Houston
There may not be a more important state for Big 12 teams to recruit from than Texas.
The Lone Star State in population alone ranks only second to the state of California. In terms of football talent, the numbers are just as large. In the class of 2008, more than 300 players signed letters-of-intent to Division I-A schools.
Nebraska has known for quite some time the importance of being a presence in the state of Texas, as they've signed around 40 prospects from there since 1980. This is the second of a three-part series breaking down the areas of the state of Texas the Huskers have tapped into both historically and today.
Next up, we take a look at the Greater Houston area.
