Top OL hopes to cut down his list

RALEIGH, N.C.--Growing up in a career military family has its ups-and-downs for a 4-star offensive tackle like Xavier Nixon.

The discipline and foundation are good for a growing (6-foot-6, 280) young man, but often periods exist when the son is separated from his parents, as Nixon, Rivals' No. 2-rated offensive tackle, was recently from his father Commanding Sgt. Major Kenneth Nixon.

Kenneth Nixon returned last week from Afghanistan just before the Fayetteville (N.C.) Jack Britt Rivals100 lineman headed over here to participate in the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions AAU basketball tournament.
