Pittsburgh hosts adidas Camp

For a third time this spring, the UPMC Sports Complex on Pittsburgh's South Side played host to a scouting combine. This time, the adidas Camp hosted by Recruits Unlimited came to town, as over 200 athletes from the eastern region came out to participate.

Recruits ranged anywhere from the Class of 2009 through the Class of 2012. The schools best represented were Monroeville (PA) Gateway and Youngstown (OH) Ursuline.

The campers had three speakers prior to working out; one on the importance of hydrating, and another on the value of knee braces. The athletes were also greeted by former NFL standout Cecil Martin, who gave them a number crunch of the recruiting process. Martin was a sixth-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999, and played collegiately at Wisconsin.
