House stands firm with pledge

With confirmation coming yesterday that 1/3 of the group known as the "Maud Squad" was solid with his commitment(James Dunbar). PurpleMenace.Com caught up with the other DE in the trio, Bryant House. The big (6-4, 250) DE has seen his recruitment take off just like him fellow teammates but just like Dunbar, House claims to be solid the Horned Frogs.

"I'm still solid. Other schools are trying to get me to change my mind but I'm still with TCU."

With offers in the fold from the likes of TCU, Tulsa and Arkansas, House mentioned that a few new schools have stepped up with offers.

"Yes sir, OU, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Baylor have all offered me now. They are working on me pretty good trying to get me to change my mind but I'm looking forward to coming to TCU."

With all of the attention being paid to the small town trio, what will the guys do to pass the time and fight off the constant pressure to make a switch?

"I'm just working hard, trying to make better grades, trying to get better as an athlete. I talk to Coach Patterson and Coach Anderson and I'm happy with my decision."

So is there anything that House would like to say in parting to the Horned Frog Nation?

"I feel good about wearing the purple and black and I'm excited about playing for TCU."

While it's rare that a small town produces so much talent on one team, the fact is, the cat is out of the bag. The Maud Squad must now fight off the pressures that come with their new found fame. With new schools entering the picture on a routine basis, the talented trio will have to learn how to stick to their guns. With the obvious stress that was put on the group when they decomitted from Tulsa and then committed to TCU, the youngsters would like to avoid what would surely be an even bigger mess if they decommitted a second time. With signing day some 9 months away, Frog fans are hoping the trio learns the phrase..."No thanks". Stay tuned to PurpleMenace.Com to see how this saga ultimately plays out.
