Derby Classic Scouting Report: Terrence Jennings

If Terrence Jennings dunks are any indication, the future Card will fit in well. The Louisville signee received a warm welcome in his first trip to Freedom Hall. Jennings, a 6-foot-10 center gave Cardinal fans a glimpse of what to expect when he joins Coach Rick Pitino's team this fall.

Jennings did not have a great statistical night (10 points and 8 rebounds), but did showcase his skills enough to prove that he can be an immediate contributor next season. He is very long and should be one of the Cards' top shot blockers. Though he'll play with his back to the basked in the Big East, he handles the ball surprisingly well for a big man. On two occasions, Jennings grabbed a rebound and went coast-to-coast for a dunk.

Jennings definitely has the size to compete in the physical Big East. He doesn't
get pushed around in the in paint and his long arms keeps the ball alive and lets him get tip ins around the rim.

He'll arrive on campus in June and will continue to bulk up once he begins working out with UofL's team trainers. Jennings is versatile enough to play either the power forward or center for Louisville and will be an excellent compliment to current Card Earl Clark and incoming freshman Samardo Samuels.
