KU hosts Tech, says goodbye

Coming off a huge win over Kansas State, the Kansas Jayhawks (26-3, 11-3) have a quick turnaround for not only another quality conference opponent, but the most emotional night of the year as the program, and its fans say farewell to five seniors as they play their final game in Allen Fieldhouse. Texas Tech (16-12, 7-7), fresh off an upset over Texas, comes to town looking to end the regular season on a high note. Russell Robinson, Darnell Jackson and KU's senior class are hoping to leave their mark on a historic program, with one final win at home. Tech did Kansas a favor by beating the Longhorns, sending the Jayhawks back into a tie for first place. With a win, KU would put themselves into position to close out their fourth consecutive conference championship.

The Jayhawks struggled to find energy and motivation, which cost them the lead in the Big 12 standings. It all started with a loss to Kansas State on Jan. 31.
