Texas OL picking up steam

One player who's starting to generate some recruiting buzz is Waco(TX)Midway offensive lineman Ty Horn. The all-district performer and member of the All-Super-Centex team recently garnered his first offer and is getting interest from others who may be close to offering.

TCU has stepped in first with an offer for the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder and Texas A&M may be close behind according to Horn.

"I have one offer from TCU," he said. "A&M is also showing a lot of interest too, they said they may offer pretty soon. I've sent my film out now so I'm assuming that I may hear from other schools soon."

Horn says TCU is a school that he thinks very highly of.

"I think a lot of TCU," Horn said of his interest. "They're a real good program and I like the facilities and the coaches there. I've talked to the offensive line coach and Coach Patterson. Coach Jennings is the coach recruiting me, I like him a lot, he's a good guy. TCU is definitely up there, they're in my top three. I'll be going there on the 23rd for their junior day."

So who else rounds out the top three for Horn besides TCU?

"A&M and Oklahoma," he said. "A&M has been my dream school and if they offer it would be hard not to commit. I like Oklahoma because I've been to their junior day and I liked it a lot. They're one of the most prestigious programs out there."
