Grading the class of 2007 - Part II
With just over six weeks remaining until the Gators officially sign their next group of players, now is as good a time as any to take a closer look back at the player performed who were part of the consensus number-one rated class of 2007. 18 of the 27 signees played in at least one game.
As it turned out, the high marks and accolades heaped upon the class were well deserved as a majority of the class played and several freshmen received post season honors.
The Gators placed 4 true freshmen on the Rivals.com Freshman All SEC Team (Ma.Pouncey, Haden, Wright and Trattou).
This year when Urban Meyer and his staff tell prospects in the class of 2008 that the Gators have no problem whatsoever playing youngsters, they'll have numbers to back them up.
6 started at least one game. (Ma.Pouncey, Hernandez, Henry, Haden, Wright and Mi.Pouncey).
UF started a true freshman on opening day for the third-straight year under head coach Urban Meyer.
UF started three true freshmen on opening day for the first time in school history (Ma.Pouncey, Haden and Henry).
Florida's 14 true freshmen that played in the season opener were the most by any team in the Southeastern Conference.

Today we'll take a closer look at those who played, those who didn't and what next season may hold in store for the group.
