Prater remains firm

One of the earlier commitments for the Class of 2008 said that he is still very much looking forward to beginning his career in an LSU uniform.

Tivy High School linebacker Kyle Prater committed to the Tigers on July 31st of this year. The 6-2, 215-pound Prater is a three-star prospect according to the latest rankings. Choosing the Tigers over offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Texas Tech, Rice and Baylor, Prater is rated as the nation's 27th-best linebacker and the 55th-best overall player in the State of Texas.

"My commitment to LSU is still very strong," Prater said.
