Mike Pollak Q&A

As one of four captains on the No. 6 ranked ASU football team, senior Mike Pollak has been victorious against almost every school in his Sun Devil career, except for USC. The polite center who plays with a mean streak, spoke after a recent practice on some of his experiences playing against the Trojans as well as his assessment of Rudy Carpenter's health.

Is this the most talented defensive front you've played against?

"Personally, I am going to go up against [Sedrick] Ellis, and he's probably the best defensive tackles in the conference - speed and power wise. But I know that going into the game, playing against him the last couple of years."

Would you say beating USC is all you have left to do?

"We have to beat UA. USC is the last team on my list that I haven't beaten. And that's one thing I told the guys earlier this week, for the seniors that haven't beat 'SC, this is our last chance to do it."

With the experiences against USC the last two years of both being ahead and coming from in behind help the team?

"As far as coming back, we've been doing that all year - so that's nothing new for us. But if you get on these guys you can't let down, because come second half they'll be ready to go."

What was your favorite memory from any game against USC?
