Coach Randy Shannon knows the importance of getting a win at Boston College this weekend.

Without it, UM's season is over. Miami will enter the game as a heavy underdog.

"Boston College is a very good team," Shannon said. "It's a challenge for us. It's a football game, and anything can happen in a football game. Boston College has a lot of experience, do a very good job of hanging in there. They have so many fifth-year seniors. In football a lot of things can happen. We have to go out and play, play hard, stay focused and do the things we need to get done."

BC has already locked up a spot in the ACC title game. Shannon doesn't expect the Eagles to rest any starter, though.

"I know (they'll) play their guys," Shannon said. "In football you have to be in a rhythm. You're in a rhythm, you start rolling. You can't protect anybody. You can get hurt anytime in any way, form, fashion in any sport."

In injury news, Shannon said RB Graig Cooper "should" practice today.

"He'll practice three-quarters of practice this week," Shannon said.
