KU set to face Louisiana-Monroe

After two convincing exhibition wins over Pittsburg State and Fort Hays State, No. 4 ranked Kansas will be regular season play on Friday. Louisiana-Monroe, who was picked as the team to beat in the Sun Belt Conference, heads to Lawrence for a 7:00 tip-off. Now that the exhibition portion of the season is complete, Self and the Jayahwks are ready for the regular season to begin.

There is absolutely no question that Self's squad was better on Tuesday against Fort Hays State than they were against Pittsburg State last week. First and foremost, sophomore forward Darrell Arthur got involved early in the game, which is something that didn't take place against Pittsburg State.
