Insider: USC's Duck hunt

The statistics have been described as "ridiculous" and "crazy." Anyone wondering if Oregon's offense really is that much better than it was last year need look no further than those numbers, USC coach Pete Carroll said.

Senior quarterback Dennis Dixon has completed 69.2-percent of his passes. His touchdown-to-interception ratio is 16-3 (one of the interceptions came on a hail mary), and he is averaging 5.6 yards per carry, with seven rushing touchdowns.

In 2006, he threw 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions on the season. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry and scored twice.

Junior running back Jonathan Stewart continues to help. He has gained 940 yards through seven games, while averaging 7.2 per carry.
