Pack offers South Carolina junior
Some high school prospects are easy to spot at an early age. The athletic Stephon Gilmore, a junior and Class of 2009 recruit from South Pointe High in Rock Hill, S.C., is one such player.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Gilmore played option quarterback as a sophomore, throwing for 900 yards and rushing for more than 1,000. He accounted for 20 touchdowns, 12 on the ground and eight in the air.
He also has run the 40-yard dash in under 4.5 seconds and owns a 35-inch vertical leap. Those are some of the reasons why Gilmore already has four very early scholarship offers.
He has new offers from N.C. State and Tennessee.
