Stafford takes jabs in stride

Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford said Tuesday he wouldn't mind borrowing Wallace Gilberry's scriptwriter.

Monday, Alabama's senior defensive lineman was talking about Stafford when he told The Tuscaloosa News that "I don't know anything about him. But after the game Saturday I can tell you anything you want to know - his birthday, his telephone number, his home address. I'm serious, because I will know."

Stafford chuckled when asked about the comment during Georgia's weekly press conference at Stegeman Coliseum.

"I haven't seen it. I don't even know if he said it, but if he did, more power to him. If I was a D-lineman, I'd love to do that kind of stuff," Stafford said. "I think it's great. That's good material. I like it."
