Cain liked what he saw on Saturday

Vanderbilt moved to 2-1 after a convincing 31-17 win over Ole Miss on Saturday evening. Offensive Coordinator Ted Cain talked to VandySports.com's Chris Lee after film study to discuss what he saw from the offense.

CL: "Just talk about your thoughts after seeing film on [Saturday] night."

TC:
"I'll tell you, I'm so very happy for our players and our fans. What we saw on tape, our players were really playing extremely, extremely hard. They were blocking and running and catching through the whistle.

"We were taking it to the edge every time, so it was good to see us bounce back after the Alabama game."

CL: Was there a sense that you guys maybe stepped up the effort a little bit after the first couple of games?"

TC:
"I think our effort in both games was good, it's just our performance was not good in the Alabama game. I think that our pride was hurt a little bit, just the way we played in that game. We just didn't play a good game.

"So, our guys want to go out and really get after it, and play some ball again, and we were pleased with the way they got after it."
