Brewster reflects on first win
It took a little longer than he would have liked, but Tim Brewster finally has his first win as a head football coach at the college level. After more than twenty years of coaching and learning from some of the best in the game Brewster finally knows what it feels like to lead his team off the field as a winner.
It may not have been exactly how he envisioned it, but in the end the taste of victory is still sweet.
When Tim Brewster took the head coaching job at Minnesota he did not likely think that it would take him two games plus four overtimes to get his first win, but things do not always go as planned. A Jamal Harris interception and an Amir Pinnix run in the third overtime sealed Brewster's first win since his high school coaching days in Indiana in the mid 80's.
Despite giving up a big lead late in the game, Brewster is still very happy with the victory. "I'd like to begin by saying that every baby is a beautiful baby and this one is no different. I'm thrilled to death that we got a victory this afternoon."
