Guice has Dawgs in top two

Central Catholic's (Portland, Ore.) Demetrius Guice now has four scholarship offers to consider. Nebraska is the most recent school to make their interest official, offering him in late July. The Cornhuskers join California, Washington, and Portland State in the race to land the 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end.

Guice was relegated to playing linebacker most of his junior season because of a broken hand, but he is still one of the best tight end prospects in the class of 2008.

"Most schools are recruiting me as a tight end," says Guice. "Cal is looking at me to play tight end or defensive end."

Guice, who plans to major in business, took an unofficial visit to California at the beginning of July.
