Francois Out?

The Boston College football two-deep has been released for the opener against Wake Forest. The biggest surprise is linebacker Robert Francois, expected to replace the injured Brian Toal this year, is nowhere to be found. How badly is Francois injured and will he play at all on Saturday? Here are a few notes on the two-deep.

---Robert Francois is injured with an ankle. He still hopes to dress I hear but not sure if he'll see any time.
---Darius Bagan would be the backup normally but I'm hearing he's academically ineligible for this upcoming season. Not confirmed of course, but what I hear from a good source.
---Taji Morris is the starter but Rollins will see a ton of time as well. The boundry corner position isn't settled at all.
---Justin Jarvis has come on late in practice and the staff likes guys who work through injuries. Clarence Megwa has had a shoulder injury and hasn't shown the toughness needed. Megwa has much more upside overall because he has pretty good size and arguably the best speed at the position but they want more from him when it comes to paying the price.
---Damik Scafe is going to be a beast, the kid is downright scary to deal with and he and Brady Smith make for great depth at DT.
---OL is a major concern, not a lot of experience at all there. But Steve Logan is smart enough to work around this for the first few weeks while they develop. Anthony Castonzo has picked things up quickly but keep in mind how dominated he was in the Spring Game.
---OL Ty Hall hasn't shown the flexibility or knee bend needed in this offense which is why he's not in the mix for a starting job.
---Jeff Smith has been banged up which is why he's not listed on the depth chart. I hear he'll be available though for Wake and will see time.
---James McCluskey and Brad Newman will make plays out of the backfield. Both have been excellent catching the football.
---No clue if L.V. Whitworth will be 100-percent for the opener but he will play it appears. Andre Callender should be the starter though.
