Is Sabino Down To Five?

The last time we heard from Miami, Fla. linebacker Etienne Sabino, he was on the verge of narrowing down his list of favorites to five schools. Since then though, one of the nation's top defensive prospects has added rather to rather than subtracted from the number of programs he's got interest in, and isn't ready to say where his five official visits will be to.

The newest school to enter the picture with Sabino is North Carolina. The Tar Heels are now among those seeking to nail down what he claims are only a few remaining spots in the elusive top-five that he's putting together. So just where does Sabino's recruitment stand on the eve of the high school football season?

Sabino has maintained throughout the recruiting process that he has legitimate interest in Tennessee. He backed that up by making an unofficial visit to Knoxville during the summer, a visit that has a lot to do with the Vols still at least being in the mix. And though doesn't have the Vols written in stone for an official visit, that doesn't mean Sabino's interest has cooled.

Sabino hopes to graduate in December and enroll in college for the spring semester in January.

Rivals.com ranks Sabino as a four-star prospect, the No. 5 inside linebacker in the nation and the No. 10 overall player in the state of Florida.
