Trio of receivers set goals high
It may come as a surprise to many Atlantic Coast Conference football fans that heading into the 2007 football season, Duke's trio of junior wide receivers, Jomar Wright, Eron Riley and Raphael Chestnut, rank among the league's top active players in several statistical categories.
In fact, if one looks closely enough, it will become evident that this group of receivers has a strong possibility of completing the season as one of the conference's top units. Though this will be a difficult task, it is certainly doable. And if Duke wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery is asked how good his group can be, he'll likely reply by saying they can be the best in the nation.
Nation? Yes, I said nation.
While this may be a little hard for many to swallow, being the best is exactly one of the goals this group has set. I'm sure many will scoff at the aspiration, but the fact of the matter is Montgomery has his unit believing this can happen. And as we all know, believing something can be done is the first step to making it happen.
