Camp Q&A: Thomas Flowers

After finishing second in the SEC in punt return average in 2005, Thomas Flowers missed most of the 2006 season with a broken foot suffered in the season opener. Now, he is back and ready to resume his role as UGA's punt returner, but first he will have to beat out Mikey Henderson.

Here is a Q&A with the senior from Austell.

How is your shoulder?

"I had a little shoulder problem on Monday. We had two practices and I kind of dinged it up a little bit, but it feels good now."

Could you play if the season opener was tomorrow?

"Yes. They are just being cautious because they do not want anybody to get hurt. We are just trying to take it light, but if we played tomorrow, I would be going, strapping it up, and ready to go."

How tight is the battle between you and Asher Allen at the boundary corner spot? Has it gone back and fourth?

"It is a competition. Each day we are going to work hard compete. Right now I am running with the ones."
