Tuesday practice report

The Alabama football team reaches the halfway point of Fall Camp this week, and the Crimson Tide practiced in full pads Tuesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility. A few highlights from Tuesday's session:

*** Defensive back Javier Arenas worked in individual drills with the safeties for the second day in a row. Arenas, who saw action only on special teams as a freshman in 2006, worked at cornerback in the spring and the first week of Fall camp.

*** Freshman defensive end Jeremy Elder practiced in a black non-contact jersey again Tuesday. Elder is among four freshman defensive linemen vying for playing time. The unit worked on shedding blocks Tuesday.
