Practice report: Two-a-days open

The Tigers held their second practice in full pads, and their first morning session of two-a-days on the Kadlec practice fields. It was, by far, the most intense session of camp thus far and has all the details of the practice:

*In special teams drills, Sean Weatherspoon blocked one punt. He easily could have had another, but pulled back because blocking punts is not the goal in this part of practice. I'll have more on Spoon later in the report, but he just stands out more and more every day. The kid is going to be special.

*One of the more impressive plays Weatherspoon made early came in inside run drills. He grabbed Marcus Woods and spun him down with one hand. Woods isn't huge, but that takes some serious strength.

*Van Alexander limped off the field after injuring his hamstring while trying to cover Woods. Alexander had the left hammy wrapped and iced. He told me he didn't think it was too serious and Brock Christopher was hopeful Van could be back in a couple of weeks.
