JamFest Jottings: Day 2

Morgantown -- Perhaps nobody at the Triple S Harley-Davidson JamFest enjoyed a stronger start on Sunday than Poca High School prodigy Noah Cottrill.

The sophomore-to-be, who already has scholarship offers from West Virginia and Florida, among other schools, began his second day of play in Morgantown in dramatic fashion.

With his U-16 West Virginia Swoosh squad down 8 points to a club from Ohio, the 6-foot-2 Cottrill ran off 7 straight points to pull his team back into contention. Then, after initially hitting a 3- pointer to send the game into overtime, Cottrill again stepped up at the end of the extra session with a game-winning trey.

After the dust had finally settled on his electrifying Sunday morning effort, Cottrill had 39 points and a stunning victory to show for his performance.
