Okakpu gives UNC visit high marks

Roswell (GA) linebacker Ebele Okakpu made a tour of Atlantic Coast Conference schools this past weekend, making trips to Clemson and North Carolina. While in Chapel Hill, the 6-0, 200-pounder spent time with UNC assistant coach Steve Hagan touring the campus, and discussing how he could fit into the Tar Heel system.

"The visit it went pretty good. I really liked it, actually. It was one of the better visits I've went on," Okakpu said. "I spent most of my time with Coach Hagan; he said that they were probably going to sign two or three linebackers, and he wants me to be one of them. He said I would have a really good chance of playing really early in my career (if I went there). We went on a campus tour in golf carts, and saw the whole campus. I really liked that. They said I have a pretty good chance of playing early at North Carolina, so I'm going to consider that in making my decision. It seemed like a lot cleaner I guess; I guess I wouldn't say 'cleaner' (than other schools), but it was just really nice. There's no buildings there that are taller than the highest trees; none of the buildings are taller than the biggest trees; it's just really nice."
