Graham sees positives in Pitt

Most high school football players will tell you that they look up to a player in the NFL, whether it's a linebacker emulating the intensity of Ray Lewis or a quarterback striving for the precision of Peyton Manning. And while it's only slightly less common for a high schooler to say that he tries to play like some of the big names in college, it's relatively unheard of that one would style his play after a tight end at Pitt.

That is, it was unheard of before Hubie Graham came along.

Graham, a 6'4" 225-pound four-star tight end from Scranton, Pa., has offers from 26 schools but only one of those schools has Nate Byham. Graham told the Pantherlair that he has been watching film of Byham since the latter was a standout at Franklin High School in 2005 and 2006, and he has tried to adapt some of the qualities that made Byham one of the nation's top tight end recruits.

Of course, Pitt isn't the only school recruiting Graham, and he has narrowed his list of 26 offers to the following 11 schools: Pitt, UCLA, Iowa, Oklahoma, Michigan, Rutgers, Syracuse, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Illinois, and Minnesota.
