Spring Game Video: Richard Samuel

UGASports.com was on the road quite a bit during the spring and we not only watched prospects and commitments practice, but we watched them perform in their spring games as well. One athlete we saw in action was Georgia commitment Richard Samuel. Samuel had a couple long runs on offense and he showed great speed and vision. The commitment is arguably the top overall athlete in Georgia and you see why inside with his combination of size and speed.

Samuel is about 6-foot-2, 210-pounds and he has been timed numerous times in the forty-yard dash at under 4.5-seconds. He is a big time athlete that could play running back or linebacker at Georgia.

Some think he could be the next Ronnie Brown out of Cartersville, but his Head Coach Rick Casko thinks he will be a 6-2, 240-pound explosive linebacker in Athens.

Samuel had early offers from the likes of Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, Notre Dame and others before committed to the University of Georgia in January. He has ended recruiting and he will graduate Cass early and be in Athens next January.

We were on the sideline at Cass for his spring game and Samuel did not disappoint. He made some very nice runs from the backfield and he was also in on a few tackles at linebacker. He is a very aggressive player, but more times than not they seemed to run the ball away from him.

Check out Samuel here and you will see his size, speed, vision, big play ability and just a stellar athlete in action.
