Top 09 prospects show well at Elite Camp
The Texas Longhorns welcomed many of the top prospects in the state of Texas and beyond Thursday and Friday in the annual Elite Camp. Included in the group of talented prospects were several members of a talented 2009 class.
Keith Gallon, PF/C of Atascocita Gallon checks in at 6-foot-9, 290-pounds blessed with great feet and a very impressive shooting touch out to 18 feet. Gallon, who is rumored to be transferring to Oak Hill nest year, was terrific both days, showing the ability to run the floor, finish with dunks in the post and score in the mid-range consistently. The big man even stepped outside the three-point line on a couple of occasions and knocked down the long range jumper.
Defensively, he has a long ways to go, but he displayed the feet and willingness to be physical on the block. Gallon averaged 13.3 points in 21-5A district play as a sophomore and lists Kansas, Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State as schools in which he has an interest.
