Floyd talks Ohio State visit

The Buckeyes have commitments from the top two wide receiver prospects in the state of Ohio in Dublin Coffman's Jake Stoneburner and Cincinnati LaSalle's DeVier Posey. However the OSU staff is looking for at least one more wideout, especially since Stoneburner gives them flexibility as he could play wide receiver or an H-back type position in college.

In any event, it would be hard for the Buckeyes or anyone else to turn down St. Paul (Minn.) Cretin-Derham wide receiver Michael Floyd. The Bucks were in touch with Floyd last week.

College coaches are not allowed to meet with prospects at this point in the recruiting process unless the prospect makes an unofficial visit. So the next step for the Buckeyes will be getting Floyd on campus for a visit.

Floyd estimates his scholarship offer list to stand at 20, but says he is only seriously considering half of those schools. His favorites include Ohio State, Florida, Louisville, Notre Dame, Michigan, Minnesota, Miami, Iowa and Wisconsin.
