Bruins like Lake Balboa LB

It is no secret that the Bruins' depth chart is slim at linebacker and the staff has a verbal from one LB this class. They are looking at quite a few others and one is Birmingham Lake Balboa's Donovan Carter (6-0, 229, 4.65). Carter made it out for spring ball to speak with the coaches.

As a junior, Donovan Carter recorded 128 tackles, five and a half sacks and one interception (returned for 60 yards). He was named first-team all-city, all-area and all-league. "I get to the ball real fast," Carter explains. "You have to get there fast if you want the tackle on our defense because we are a very fast unit. I would say I am a playmaker because I make things happen."
