A big day for Ros on Monday

Just a couple days have passed, but Bryce Ros attending the Athens NIKE Camp is already paying off. Just hours after the camp was over, the Air Force Academy offered Ros, but the second offer was much bigger. Mark Richt and Stacy Searels of Georgia stopped by Kennesaw Mountain High School on Monday to check in on Ros. That was big news for Ros, but the news got better after they left.

"Coach Richt and Coach Searels came by the school and all they can do is the hand shake and hello, so we couldn't really talk much," said Ros. "They just said hello and that was about it."

"I went on to lunch and I got a text message from Coach Richt asking me to give him a shout when I have a minute. I called him and he told me that they were ready to offer me a scholarship."

"He told me they saw me on film and liked it and they liked me at the camp over the weekend."

Ros did not know what to say or think when he heard Coach Richt offer him a scholarship.

"I was kind of frozen for a minute," he said. "I can't even remember much about what I said or he said after that. I knew he was coming by the school today, but I did not expect an offer too."

"It just made me feel so honored and blessed when he told me that I had an offer. So many people don't even get an offer from Georgia and I got one. It was truly a great moment for me."

Being the son of former Bulldog great Frank Ros is all he thought he was to Georgia and he really did not see this offer coming, at least not this soon.

"I had talked to Coach Richt a million times over the years, but never really as a recruit to a coach. It was because I had been there a lot and my dad was a big part of Georgia football."
