Spring Ball enters final week

The final week of spring practice kicked off Monday afternoon and the Cal football team grunted through a brisk but certainly productive two-hour session. With a handful of offensive players banged up, it was the defense that once again held the upper hand throughout the day.

One of the biggest questions since spring ball began is who would line up opposite dynamic freshman cornerback Syd'Quan Thompson in the Bears secondary. Four weeks in to spring practice, a redshirt sophomore might just have the upper hand in answering that very question.
