Defense is a work in progress
Generally a 55-point effort during the spring game sends alarm signals to defensive coordinators and increases the intake of ibuprofen amongst the defensive coaching staff. Georgia's defense had a rough time stopping Matthew Stafford and the red team offense Saturday for four quarters Saturday and struggled with the black team for the final two quarters.
The Bulldog defense gave up 642 yards of total offense on the day and 136 yards rushing to the red offense.
Senior safety Kelin Johnson thinks the defense is a work in progressing heading into the 2007 season as they try to replace seven starters from the 2006 team.
