This spring, the Trojans begin a national championship run without a senior wide receiver on the roster.
Lacking experience, USC has turned to a handful of underclassmen to make plays in the passing game. After two weeks of spring football, redshirt freshman David Ausberry has stepped into the starting rotation.
Playing big comes naturally for Ausberry, who now stands 6-foot-4, 225-pounds. Physically, Ausberry intimidates his opponents with brute strength and size.
But playing time for USC's inexperienced receiving corps is about brians, not brawn.
