Wildcats complete fifth practice

Arizona's fifth practice is in the books and the UA players and coaches remain optimistic about what direction the team is going in. The offense continues to improve and the defense remains extremely confident as unit.

All in all, head coach Mike Stoops is happy with what he's seeing.

"I feel good about where we're at (on offense)," Stoops said. "I think we're in pretty good shape. We're picking things up at a rapid pace. Our kids are getting more confident everyday and they're going up against some good people. I like the way our kids are practicing and I love their attitude and I like what we're doing."

After an up and down 2006 season, there's definitely a laidback and fun-loving attitude among the UA players after practices. Everyone seems confident about where the team stands and the guys are supposedly having fun out on the field.

Senior defensive end Louis Holmes is just one of several players happy with how everything is going.

"It's a new year," Holmes said.
