Recruiting diary: Wes Kemp breaks it down

DeSmet wide receiver Wes Kemp is one of the most coveted prospects in the state of Missouri for the Class of 2008. This is the first installment of that diary:

The past two weeks have flown by. The past two weeks, I've been training for the April 14th combine in Naperville. On a normal Monday and Wednesday, I get up about 6:30 and go to school. After school, I do my homework until about 4 o'clock and then I go to Velocity Sports Performance to train from 5 until 7 p.m. During the training session, we do running drills for an hour and then we lift for an hour. After the session is over, I go back home, finish homework and hit the bed.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I get up around 5:30 a.m. and leave for the gym, where I usually arrive around 6 a.m. There, I do polymeric warm-ups, core work, and stretching for an hour-and-a-half. After school, I usually work on route running or on skill work. Friday is mostly my rest day. On Saturday, I have Velocity from 8 to 10 a.m. Finally, on Sundays at 4 p.m., I go to Velocity for a two-hour session on skill position training where Blaine Gabbert also works out with me.
