Wright, Collins headed back to Chicago
For the second time this season, Julian Wright and Sherron Collins are headed home. Second-ranked Kansas (30-4; 17-2), the top seed in the West Region, will face the winner of tonight's play-in game between Florida A&M and Niagara, in the Windy City on Friday at 6:10 CST. It should come as no surprise that Wright, Collins and the rest of the Jayhawks hope for a better outcome this time around.
"The first time you go back home, ever, and play when you're outside the area, there's a lot of things that you deal with," said Bill Self.
"Whether it be tickets, whether it be seeing people that come by the hotel, whether it be people calling you all the time or people mad at you because you don't get them tickets.
"People that have been really good to you," he added. "That's going to happen this week. They aren't going to be able to get tickets for everybody. There will be people disappointed in those guys. They hate to disappoint and they just have to do a good job of understanding that they can't please everybody.
"I think going up to play DePaul the first time, in early December, was probably good for us."
