Wildcats unable to avoid Sunflower sweep

OKLAHOMA CITY - All Kansas State can do now is wait. The Wildcats (22-11, 10-6) were eliminated from the Big 12 Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon by top seed and second-ranked Kansas (29-4, 14-2), falling 67-61 to the Jayhawks in the Ford Center. After a bad Friday for bubble teams took some luster of what initially seemed to be a win-and-in victory over Texas Tech, the Wildcats must now wait to learn their NCAA Tournament fate on Selection Sunday.

"Everybody has Kansas listed as a No. 1 seed. Does losing to a one seed knock you out…" Wildcat coach Bob Huggins said afterwards. "I wouldn't think so."

The question may now become whether or not the Wildcats were in before the game.
