KU still has much to prove

Bill Self met with the media on Monday afternoon to discuss a variety of topics, including the upcoming Big 12 Tournament, which beings on Thursday. The Kansas Jayhawks (27-4; 14-2) head to Oklahoma City, Okla., as the top seeded team in the Big 12 Tournament, but must take care of business during the weekend to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Since losing to Texas A&M (25-5; 13-3) back on February 3, Self's squad has become one of the hottest teams, if not the hottest team, in college basketball. The Jayhawks have won eight straight games by an average of 22.5-points per contest. During that stretch, Kansas has been tested just three times, at Kansas State, at Oklahoma and against Texas.
