Cats hope to avoid repeat against NU
Kansas State remembers the last time Nebraska visited Bramlage Coliseum. The matchup on Jan. 11, 2006, served as K-State's Big 12 Conference home opener, but there was nothing sweet about home that night for the Wildcats. Nebraska controlled the contest throughout and handed K-State an embarrassing 57-42 defeat, a loss Wildcat players easily recall but prefer to say little about.
Normally talkative, David Hoskins spoke quietly and briefly about the previous meeting, saying only, "that was disappointing last year," after K-State's recent victory over Chicago State.
Hoskins, who is averaging 14.1 points and 5.9 rebounds during his junior season, failed to score in 18 minutes of action against the Cornhuskers.
