Shugarts takes a minute to talk Michigan

When Signing Day hits in less than three weeks, Michigan will likely have a signature from just one offensive tackle in the 2007 class. That means the tackle position will once again be a major focus for 2008 and like just about every school in the country, one of their top targets is Klein, Texas' J.B. Shugarts. The Wolverines have an advantage over most teams for Shugarts, however, because they are in his top six.

Joining Michigan in the 6-7, 295-pound Shugarts' top six are Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, LSU and Ohio State. Michigan has had success recruiting Klein High School before, grabbing offensive tackle Mark Ortmann from there in the 2005 class. That means Ortmann was a senior when Shugarts was a freshman, but the two do know each other.
