Army All-American recap

Chris Galippo started 2006 by becoming USC's first commitment of the 2007 class. At Saturday's Army All-American Bowl, Galippo started 2007 by earning MVP honors at the nation's most recognized high school all-star game.

Galippo, who ended the game with more than a dozen tackles, led the West team to a 24-7 victory.

Galippo, a 6-foot-2, 235-pound inside linebacker, joins names like Vince Young, Chris Leak and Ted Ginn Jr. as the game's Most Valuable Player.

"It's truly an honor to be mentioned in the same breath as those guys," said Galippo. "I thank Jesus Christ, my lord and savior; my family out west and back east . . . everybody. Servite High School baby, Credo!"
