Bruins end on sour note
The Bruins had a chance to put an exclamation point to end the season only to have a disappointing loss to Florida State that once again puts a question mark on the program. Instead of heading into an off season on fire with the momentum of a program that has finally turned the corner the Bruins failed to finish the Seminoles off and made critical mistakes in doing so.
Seminole senior running back Lorenzo Booker displayed the skills that saw him be one of the nation's most sought after players out of Ventura (Calif.) Saint Bonaventure all those years ago.
Booker was named the Emerald Bowl Most Valuable Player after rushing for 91 yards and two rushing touchdowns. He also ended up catching five passes for another 117 yards through the air.
From a Bruin perspective this game was a microcosm of their season as a whole. It had good, bad and ugly.
When you have too much bad and ugly that usually is a surefire recipe for a loss.
