Callahan and his team remember July 24 very well
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The last time Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan and his team stepped into Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium it was July 24.
Callahan, along with seniors Zac Taylor, Adam Carriker and Zackary Bowman arranged a special tour of Arrowhead with Chiefs head coach Herman Edwards and organization President Carl Peterson during the Big 12 Media Days.
The Huskers were the first team to address the media that day in Kansas City, so Callahan made sure before his players talked to the press they had a visual image of where they'd hopefully be playing on Dec. 2.
Friday was NU's first time back at Arrowhead since that day
a day where Callahan said he and his players all vowed they'd be back in Kansas City for the Big 12 Championship game on Dec. 2.
"I thought it was important, for our team to come down, our captains, our leaders, to visit Arrowhead and to see exactly what the scenario, what the atmosphere and climate was in terms of playing in a championship game," Callahan said. "Really try to build a mind set and create the mind set of a championship team and the championship game.
