Sturdivant discusses UNC commitment

OAKBORO, N.C.- Friday night was a rough experience for North Carolina verbal commitment Quantavius Sturdivant, as his team lost decisively in the second round of the NCHSAA 2-A state playoffs, but Sturdivant took comfort in the fact that it will not be the last time he walks off a football field as a player.

Sturdivant's West Stanly team was soundly beaten by Marshville (N.C.) Forest Hills, 31-7 Friday night on their home field.

Although Sturdivant, West Stanly's quarterback, threw a first half touchdown, it was one of his only highlights, as he spent the game getting harassed by Forest Hills' aggressive defense.
