Terrapin test for BC leaders

Once again, perhaps not to the extent of recent days past, the fate of the Boston College Eagles lies in their own hands. A win against the University of Maryland this coming Saturday and the Eagles are right back in the crazy hunt for the Atlantic Division title of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Terrapins are rolling in to Alumni Stadium for the first time in the history of the school and currently ranked one spot behind the Eagles in all three polls at number 21. The all-time series stands at 2-1 in favor of the Eagles with Boston College coming out on top in a defensive thriller last year in College Park, Maryland.

The Terrapins are currently tied for first place in the Atlantic Division with Wake Forest and post the same record as BC at 8-2. The Terps, however, are only 2-2 on the road which is consistent with the history of the Terps under head coach Ralph Friedgen, as they are 30-7 at home under the "Fridge" but only 16-13 when they go wheels up.
