Brown, team ready for Homecoming

Thursday was the last practice in pads before Oregon comes to town for Homecoming Weekend. Spirits were high and the team seems to be feeding off the energy of a lopsided victory, even if it was against hapless Stanford.

Last weekend's blowout allowed us to get a glimpse at some of the younger players. One of those players is red-shirt freshman offensive tackle Charles "Don't-Call-Me-Charlie" Brown.

Charles Brown is coming along quickly in his second year at USC; his first as a full-time offensive lineman.

"I'm getting better, but I need to work on my run-blocking a bit more though," Brown explained. "My pass blocking is coming along and Sam Baker helps me out with my footwork quite a bit."

He converted from TE in the middle of last year when it was clear the offensive line was running thin and Brown's hands left something to be desired.
