Ask the expert Q&A: Oregon State Beavers

Prior to several critical games this season, has run a story previewing Arizona State's upcoming opponent from the view of a close observer of that team.

This week, Angie Machado, publisher of, was kind enough to take time out to give ASU fans insight into their next opponent, the Oregon State Beavers.

After the tremendous streak-breaking win against USC, what is the emotional state of the team?

The Beavers appear to be poised and confident after the big win against the Trojans. The mood around Corvallis is business as usual, as they talk about "one game at a time" and "continuing to grow and get better."

Is there fear of a let down versus ASU and what is being done to prevent that?

I think the fear of the let down is feared more by the fans and the media than the team itself. Spending some time around the team this week, they seem calm and ready to prepare for Arizona State. Senior strong safety Sabby Piscitelli summed it up best by saying, "We take it one game at a time. We have to keep on winning. We won a game, it is over. We have five left and we take it one at time. It doesn't matter what we do in the past. We have to look ahead to four Pac-10 games, then Hawaii and take it from there."
